Make Him Happy

And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, He was hungry:
And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, He came, if haply He might find any thing thereon: and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. Mark 11:12-13

Jesus says we are the branches and are to abide in Him, the Vine (John 15:1-6). And Paul writes in Romans 7:4 that we are to bring forth fruit. Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
So think about this.... Is Jesus finding the kind of fruit He desires on in His people. Or is He finding us dry and not bringing forth the fruit He longs for?
How often Jesus does indeed find us like this. And, believe me, I'm including myself from this list.
As Christians this should not be so.
The Bible tells us what the fruit of the spirit is....  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Gal. 5:22-23).

These are the things we as Christians should be striving to live out. Sadly, so often we don't.

We also need to do the things God has for us to do (dreams, ect). Step out and do those things God called us to do as well.

Friends, I want to encourage all of us to make God happy in the fruits were bringing forth.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Heb. 12: 1-3
