        Did you ever see a group of blackbirds flying in the sky? Swarms and Swarms of them at one time, all going the same direction, all sweeping up and down like they were getting over obstacles. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of these birds, but they all are flying-soaring-in the same direction. They work together for a common good. They add to the creation that is around them. They are united.
   Hey, what if we were like this? Soaring together. United in love. United as one. Working together for the kingdom God. Not being divided by our differences. Helping each other get over obstacles. Literally being the church as a whole. Looking so united and so bound together that we would stand out as Christians, and our cause would stand out as us literally running in the same direction-with the same goal.
   What if we were like blackbirds? What if we were like blackbirds, riding off into the sunset together, and hearing, Well done, good and faithful servant.” Wouldn’t that be neat?

T U N E D

*Super sorry I've not posted much on here lately...but my heart is in this ministry. Know I love you, but not half as much as Jesus. Hope this speaks to you tonight where you are.

Tuned

 And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.
Matthew 15:36

I know a lot of you reading this magazine have a calling that God has placed on your heart that you are working to fulfill. The busyness in life may try to hinder it hard, but you still try and keep at it.
But in our effort to pour into others are we letting Jesus pour into us?
You see, Jesus gave to His disciples and then they gave to the multitudes. They were first given what they gave to others.
You see, if we’re not being led by the Holy Spirit in our ministry, our words won’t have a healing affect on people. We have to be in tuned with the Author and what He’s saying or else all our words, all we try to do for His kingdom, will fall flat to the ground.
When we are tuned in with Jesus, like a guitar has to be in tune to play beautiful music, people will be saved in our ministries, people will find freedom and breakthrough, nations will be saved, people will be healed, dreams for God will begin and we will see a difference.
So, I challenge you to get in tune with God today before trying to tune others. A guitar is going to sound flat and horrible, and the music won’t leave people refreshed, when it’s not finely tune. But, if it is tune, in good working order and in line with what the guitar is supposed to sound like-it will sound lovely. Get into what God is saying to you and what He’s all about. Breathe in His presence and the very core of who He is…then you will be the kind of messenger He desires.
Jesus didn’t send that crown away hungry.
Why should you?

A Hero...

Today marks another anniversary since 9/11, the terrorist attacks on The World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

We know the story of the brave men and women that gave their lives. We know the story of the brave people who gave their lives to stop the terrorist from taking over our country...We know the stories....

We have our country right now because of a loving God and the brave people He used.

A HUGE enemy came against us...but was stopped. Things were hopeless. But yet hope sprang fourth.

You know what this reminds me of?

The beautiful, saving story of Jesus.

You see way back then-sin had separated us from God. We were lost and needed saving. We didn't have power against our enemy...we didn't have hope.

Then comes along a Hero, who is determined to do what He was sent to do. He's determined to save a broken people. He's determined to give hope.

And like those heroes that challenged the enemy and gave their lives...destining to save a country...and like those firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other people who worked endlessly to save a people...Jesus did this for us. He endure pain for many hours, torment for many hour. And even before that He taught God's word through criticism and opposition.

He, with fierce determination, saved a people. Saved us from hell and separation from God. He is our Hero. He saved us.

So, let's never forget what those men and women, who gave so much on that day, did. And most certainly...let's never forgot what our Hero Jesus did.

I Made It... Day 2 of Jesus, YOU MAKE THE DARKNESS tremble blog tour!

I'm alive today, this book is published today, because of God.

You see, when I became serious about this book, the attacks came. And they came harder and harder.

And a lot of times...I was desperate for peace...I longed for freedom.

The devil doesn't want you doing what God calls you to do.

He will try to stop you.

But, thankfully, I have a God that will stop him!

So, know today that if the devil comes against you hard...it's a sure sign that this is from God. Secondly, know that God will see you through...if you trust Him...if you fight with Him.

This book is published today because of an amazing God who was willing to see me through. Because of a God that delivers me from my enemies. Because of a God that choose me. Because of a God that counts me more value than many sparrows....

This isn't me. It's God.

Yeah, I got discouraged. I'd cry in pain and from a desperate heart. I even had a break down, so hurt and angry I wasn't better. I felt hopeless. Desperate.

But as always, my God brought me out. And showed me He was there.

He cares for us. The battle may last longer than we'd like...but it will end. And with Jesus you have the victory.

Today I'm free. And I'm becoming freeer. Jesus brought me out.

So, from the heart of God, I present to you...Jesus, YOU MAKE THE DARKNESS tremble.

He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

Why I'm Waiting Blog Tour!

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:23

Hello lovely people! God loves you so much! Do we even grasp a percent of how much He loves us?

Well today's post has somewhat to do with love, because today I'm the blog for the 5th day for the Why I'm Waiting Blog Tour! Now I know the lovely author and she's pretty epic!!! Purity is one of her biggest passions and she expresses this in her book! Let's take a look at what the book is about:

Why Am I Waiting For My Future Husband?

``````````````````````````````
  In Why I’m Waiting, the author’s first non-fictional book, she shares with you why she has committed to waiting for her future husband. She starts each subject with verses from the Bible, to help show you what God says about purity.
The author touches on the following subjects:
*My Heart Belongs To God
*Being Content
*God’s Choice, Not Mine
*The Waiting: Following Christ’s Example
*Being Prepared
*Physical: Body Is The Temple Of The Holy Ghost
*Relationships
*Marriage
*First Kiss
  Chloe prays that all who read this book are blessed and that it touches their lives; and she hopes you enjoy the many verses throughout!
So, come along and dive into scripture with her as she shares with you one of her heart’s greatest passions!
My Review:💗
I read this way back in May (sister right's😉) and the thing that stuck out to me was that she said what she had to say with a lot of verses! The book is filled with verses and if you're putting your fact on the Word of God, then there you go. Plus the book is super easy to read! I would totally recommend getting this book!
You can purchase it straight through author- if you know her personally or through someone that knows her! Or you can get it on Amazon!
And keep up with Chloe on her blog and on Instagram to for sure keep up with the rest of the tour!
God Bless ya'll and, "Congrats Chloe!"
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Go
Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts.
1 Sam. 17:45
Some of you may have read my novel the SHIELD series, and you may be familiar with this story. In The Shield, our main character Amy was afraid to follow her God given dreams to be a police officer. She considered herself incapable and not enough.
But with God's help Amy faced those fears and entered police academy. A milestone conquered, right? When she got there she met a girl named Krista. Krista was everything Amy looked not to be. Toned, confident. Krista degraded Amy and told her how she would suck at this.
On the fifteen week of police academy, Krista couldn't handle it anymore. She quit. Amy lasted through and became a police officer. Amy, weak in appearance and scared in spirit, made it.
Some of you may consider it hard work or scary to go through 6 months of intense police training and even further fighting crime and facing danger. Well Amy was afraid of all these things. Or some of you may consider it scary to write a book God has called you to, or make friends or reach out to someone who's hurting. Or to speak at an event or go on missions trip. To stand up for Jesus and not be ashamed of what you believe, even when it's not popular.
The thing is, fear tries to keep a lot of us from doing what God has called us to. We may look and feel incapable to ourselves. And we may look like that to others around us and they may degrade us.
Well there is a story in the Bible quite similar, and it might be one your quite familiar with. And it's found in 1 Samuel 17.
And it's the story of David and Goliath.
Now lets look at this closely.
The Bible says in verse 11 that Saul and all of Israel was afraid.
Now Saul was a warrior, he had brought Israel into many victories. But he looked at this giant and he was afraid to face him. Saul, the one who stood a head and shoulders taller than the men in Israel, who looked the part, was afraid.
David didn't look the part.
Yeah, David was that shepherd teenager who came along and dared to face this giant, he knew God was on His side and He would win.
But to others, he didn't look like he could do it. He didn't look capable.
1 Samuel 17:33,  And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
1 Samuel 17:42, And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
He probably looked like a joke to a lot of people!
And maybe you look like a joke to people around you, maybe you look like a joke to yourself.
You may be afraid to face the giant.
You may think, why should I write that book when my first one only got a few sales. Or why should I when I'm not popular like this other author. Or I don't write as good as this person, he does way better. I'm not even close to him.
You may think, I can't speak the truth to my school, people will laugh. I can't be bold about my faith. I can't go and be a preacher like Christ is directing me to.
But here's a little truth, God is with you. Put your trust in Him, He promises to always be there. Matthew 28:20, And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
And here's another little truth,  If God be for us, who can be against us?. Romans 8:31.
And another, The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
Another, Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Arm yourself with truth-God's word, speak these truths against the enemy. Be confident that Jesus is with YOU and FOR YOU!
And you don't have to compare yourself to another around you. Do what God is telling YOU! And be confident in that!
Face the fear and go forward holding Jesus hand. Let Him lead.
And if you follow Him, I'll know you'll look back and smile and praise, once you've gone places you never dreamed possible.
When I published my book, I didn't expect the response I got. I was even afraid to publish it-thinking I wouldn't sell any and would look foolish. But God did work in amazing ways. Praise Him!
You may not look like a bold, confident, strong person. But go forward anyway, ignore the lies. You were made for great things.
And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands.
1 Samuel 17:47
Amy became a great officer and she even became a detective working with the best there was.
But even more real and amazing yet.
David defeated the giant.
 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him.
1 Samuel 17:50
Interview with Jen Barrick!
But Thou, O Lord, art a Shield for me; my Glory, and the Lifter up of mine head.
Psalm 3:3
Recently I had the honor and privilege to interview Jen Barrick from HOPEOUTLOUD ministries! She has an amazing, incredible, wow, testimony and I'm sure you'll all be blessed by it!! So without further ado, let's get right into it!
Interview with Jennifer Barrick!
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.   Romans 5:5
 Beth: Hey there Jen! Thanks so much for joining me here today! You're an inspiring person with an amazing story and I'm so excited to share with others what God has done for you today!  To start off can you tell us a little about yourself?
Jen:  My name is Jennifer Barrick. I am 26 years old. I was raised in a Christian family. I have a brother, Joshua who is 22 years old and a Senior at Liberty. I personally love Jesus with all my heart!  He is my best friend and guide. He truly directs and leads me every day. In my spare time, I enjoy reading my Bible, singing praise songs, having dinner as a family, going on walks, coloring pictures, doing my brain therapy and spending time with friends.
Beth: Oh cool! So, on November 5th, 2006, a terrible thing happened. Can you share with us about that?
Jen:
November 5th was truly a Great Day! My brother Josh and my Dad had just won a baseball game and they were rushing home that night to hear me sing in church with my high school choir. Both of my grandparents where attending and we were looking forward to an awesome night. My Grandpa, Ed Hindson, preached that night on the book of Revelation and it was truly a night of HOPE. I know personally God moved and spoke to my heart so greatly during the concert! On our way home my family was hit head-on by a drunk driver going over 80 miles per hour. We all suffered various injuries. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and was in the hospital for over 3 months. I was in a coma for five to six weeks.
Beth: Can you tell what you did that was so
amazing and special while you were still in a coma in the hospital?
Jen: During my coma, I knew nothing but the Lord. He was truly my Comfort, Strength, and Healer. I would talk to Him for hours according to my friends and family that stayed with me.
Beth:  That is literally amazing! So at an early age you had already developed a deep love for the Lord. What made you make the decision to seek Him?
Jen: My family has always put God first and made Him a big priority. My Mom and Dad raised me to love the Lord and to hide away scripture in my heart.
Beth: So cool!  What was the recovery process like?  In what ways has God just utterly worked in your life and healed you?
Jen: In order to get a response from me you had to connect to my spiritual side. For example, in the hospital when I was relearning how to walk I did not respond to my therapists commands. My Mom had the idea to quote the books of the Bible. To each book I took a step. Prior to my accident I was a very introverted person. I was begging God for BOLDNESS. Since my brain injury, God has given me the ability to boldly tell the world about Him and His Love.
Beth: Wow Praise Him!  What ministry has come out of this? How did God turn it around for good?
Jen: Through our accident Hope Out Loud was born. God has used us to reach thousands and share the Hope found in Him. As a result, God has given us a platform for Him as a family!
Beth: Amazing! Can you tell us a little bit about your mother's book about your story and the books you have written?
Jen: All of our books point to Christ. My Mom writes on what it is like from a Mother’s perspective.   In my Mom’s book, Beauty Marks, she teaches about forgiveness, restoration, and trusting in the Lord alone. She shares stories about what it is like during my recovery and God’s Miracles through my continuing healing.
Beth: That’s wonderful! What is your biggest desire to do for the Lord right now?
Jen:
My biggest desire is to not miss one plan that God has for me and to share with the world what He has done and who He is!!
Beth: That’s amazing! Hallelujah! Thanks so much for joining us Jen! Keep inspiring people with your testimony! You're doing amazing things for God's kingdom!
